Finally, on Friday, Jacob had a very special 'extra' item. Unfortunately I was away for it, but we had arranged for Jacob to bring in his pet dog. Some helpful students in the class emailed some photos to share and told me that Jacob's dog was a bulldog named 'Rocky'. I'm sure it was an exciting way for Jacob and the class to finish off his week as the Sr-S Star! Great job Jacob.Sr-S SotW - Jacob Extra.png
For his favourite movies on Thursday, Jacob brought in a double DVD set - one movie was Jumanji, and the other was Zathura. Similar to the reasons why he liked his books he presented yesterday, Jacob told the class he enjoys these movies because they are mysteries and also entertaining and funny in parts. He took us through the storyline of the movies and answered questions about them very well.Sr-S SotW - Jacob Movies.png
On Wednesday, Jacob shared his favourite books with us. He said he enjoys the 'Infinity Ring' series and brought in two books from that collection. Jacob told the class he enjoys reading them because they are interesting and are mysteries so they keep him engaged because it's hard to predict what might happen next.

On Tuesday, Jacob had a very interesting hobby item to share with the class. It was a toy called 'Bop It', which a number of other students said they also had at home or had used before. Jacob said it's a game that is fun to play when he's bored, but it can actually be used to improve hand/eye coordination, concentration and listening skills. Jacob showed us how to play and then we used the 'Pass it' setting for everyone to have a go - it brought out many laughs and was a lot of fun!Sr-S SotW - Jacob Toy.png

Jacob began his week as our Star by bringing in a range of photos, mainly from his early childhood. He shared some memories of his time growing up, such as parties he has been too (including a photo where he was covered in chocolate cake whilst trying to eat it!), with some trophies he had won as a child, and quite a few photos from his time at kinder. One thing really stood out as a common theme in all of his photos - and that was how happy he always looked. Great way to start the week!Sr-S SotW - Jacob Photos.png
