Finally on Friday, Jessica brought in a large box of precious dolls. She said she couldn't really think of anything for her special item, so decided to bring these in because her Nana brings her back a souvenir doll each time she travels to a new country. Jessica had dolls from about twelve different countries, including Poland, Morocco, South Africa, Germany, and many others. The dolls all show each country's culture or history - such as traditional dress or outfits. They were very interesting to see and Jess spoke about all of her items this week extremely well!
Thursday and it was on to Jessica's favourite movie. She brought in 'Monte Carlo', which has Selena Gomez in it. Jess gave us a great detailed summary of the movie and said she chose it to share because she loves the places in the movie and that one day she would love to visit Monte Carlo and Paris.
On Wednesday, Jessica showed a book series called 'Very Very Pearlie'. She had about six books from the series, including one (her favourite) that was a three-in-one book. She told us that she doesn't read that much so it was hard to select a book, but she enjoys these ones because they are entertaining and have good characters and adventures in them.
Jessica brought a very interesting hobby item into school on Tuesday. She has been learning to play golf for approximately the past year and showed the class her set of clubs. She said her favourite club was her 1-wood because she drives with it and can hit the furthest with that one. Jess showed the class her golfing glove, which was a prize for winning different competitions, and even demonstrated her excellent putting style!
Jessica began her week with an excellent slideshow of photos that she had put together on Keynote. It was great to see her make use of her iPad and show us her photos on the big screen. Jess took us through photos of her birthdays, holidays (including what looked like a very fun trip to Sydney last year) and special family occasions. She had lots to show us and answered questions very confidently.
